Great People, Great Times

Since our last post, even in the throws of graduate work, we have traveled for a wedding, and gotten to hang out with some awesome people we love! What else is summer for right?

We went to B-Dubs and Ben & Jerry's with Addison's Godmother, Karolanne, her fiance, Nick, and Unk on July 2nd.

On July 4 we traveled to Great-Grandmom and Granddad's for an early celebration of Unk's birthday (July 8, 1988). This is what we were wearing before hitting the road.

We had the blowout of all blowouts in the car on the way there. We were about 10 - 15 minutes away from their house, and I called ahead so trash bags, 409, and paper towels could be rounded up! It was everywhere! Addison got stripped of her dirty clothes and sent straight to the bathtub!

Later that week we traveled to Culpeper, VA for the nuptual joining of two of our closest college buddies, Holly and Phil. Here's Addison ready to hit the road for our long trip!

The next day, the wedding party threw the bride and groom a shower. Addison got in on the festivities too! Here she is with the bride, Holly, with Brandon, some of the groomsmen, and the bridesmaids!

On the way home from this wonderful weekend, we stopped to eat lunch in Lynchburg at B-Dubs; we love wings! This was the day of the infamous women's world cup soccer game, where the US beat Brazil in a thrilling shoot out! Even Addison was enthralled!

Here she is with Dad sporting her cute Carter's brand Tutu. Did you know that Costco carries some Carter's brand clothing for kids? Only select outfits and sets, but the tables are huge and piled high and hard for Mom to pass by!!

Our latest past-time while waiting for our meals to be ready....Mom claims Dad will turn Addison into an adrenaline junky. This video is of the 3rd and 4th "rides" so the laughter was starting to wear off.

Last Sunday, Addison got to hang out at home with just her Dad while Mom and Grandmom went to see RSVP's production of Camelot. They had a great time!

And here's Addison with beautiful bride number two of the month, Maggie Smith Lankford. Mom and Unk had the pleasure of singing in the wedding! Such fun!

So folks, that wraps up the month of July. We have had a wonderful summer. Kathleen and Eric have completed the requirements for their Master's degrees, so you may now call them the Master G's!! But now it is back to the grind. We start Marching Band camp tomorrow!! So we will say goodbye to our lazy days, but encourage all of you dear readers to have a few more in our honor!
